Who we are

INTERIM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Alana Barragan-Scott grew up in St. Louis and has lived in Columbia since the 1980's when she met her husband-to-be in a class at MU. She is a retired lawyer, who worked for the State of Missouri in the executive and judicial branches; taught at the MU School of Law; and later served the Federal judiciary. Since retiring, she is busy in her new career and passion project: teaching middle school science. She became involved in mid-Missouri theatre after seeing how much her three children enjoyed participating in it, and has acted and sung in numerous plays, musicals, and singing ensembles around mid-Missouri. As Interim Artistic Director of Guerl-rilla Theater, she looks forward to bringing thought-provoking, memorable works to the Talking Horse stage.
